Samuel/ This is just to say

The story Samuel by Grace Paley was kind of weird, it didn't really have a moral to the story. When the angry man pulled the emergency cord and Samuel died it was a real shock to my roommate and I. We weren't really expecting that to happen because Paley referred to little boys as tough. When the woman saw what the little boys were doing she got nervous but she finally got the courage to tell them they were going to get hurt if they weren't careful, sure enough thats what happened. I thought it was horrible when Samuels mother had another son but when she and her husband saw him for the first time all they could say is, there will never be another Samuel.
As for the poem it just sounds like something that goes on between my roommates but it was pretty pointless as well. I mean there is not much to say about it!

Hi Natalie, you could probably talk about embarrassment or sterotyping and why the you felt the lady took so long saying something to the boys. Hoped I helped. Good Luck!
